Description

• The AValon RF GS-x ground station integrates a command & control up-link, a two antenna diversity video and telemetry down-link with all the antennas and cables into a single low weight (~1Kg) enclosure.
• Power and all I/O are through a single high reliability circular connector at the bottom.
• The GS-x has an optional built-in servo motor and it’s tracking system and enough room to house a standard rechargeable military battery.
• Designed for KISS: Only controls are up-link and down-link frequency select switches.

Features

• GS-L is designated as an L Band system, tuning from 1.7GHz to 1.87GHz. It is available with either a 15dbi or a 18dbi antennas.
• GS-S is designated as a S band system. It is available with either a 15dbi or a 20dbi antenna, each tuned to one of the following frequency bands:
  • 2.1GHz to 2.3GHz
  • 2.3GHz to 2.5GHz

Operation

With the launch of the UAV, reception is via the low gain omnidirectional receive antenna, allowing the high gain directional antenna time to rotate and point towards the departing UAV. After the high gain antenna locks on the signal, it is switched in.

TA08
Tracking Antenna

Advantages

• Extends the range of UAV/UGV/USV links

Description

• The TA08 is a passive tracking antenna system designed for video links to/from moving platforms that are tuned to any frequency band in the spectrum from 300MHz to 2.5GHz. Higher frequencies are available using external up/down converters. Tuning is via a RS232 port or via a remote control.
• The TA system selects the antenna that has the best reception automatically and provides direction indication.
• They include an array of 8 (CP or LP) high gain antennas, cables, one, two or four DX04 series receivers and a DX002 or DX004 baseband diversity selector.

Two Antenna True Diversity Receiver

Description

• The DX402/DX502/DX602 are rugged two antenna ‘true’ diversity “receivers” intended for demanding long range, high mobility, wireless video applications without link breakup.
• DX402: VSB modulated with a tuning range of 56MHz-802/860MHz & a 6MHz bandwidth.
• DX502: FM modulated with a tuning range of 900MHz-2.15GHz (optional) & a 16MHz/27MHz bandwidth.
• DX602: FM modulated with a tuning range of 2.14GHz-2.5GHz (optional) & a 16MHz bandwidth.
• The DX402/DX502/DX602 receivers offer the following channels:
  • Video with (optional) VITC/watermarking and GC canceling circuitry.
  • Audio (one channel) with one (optional) talk-back audio channel.
  • Two-way, half duplex, digital encrypted communications channel to a companion TX530/TX630 (optional).
  • Alarm channel (optional).
  • Two analog telemetry channels (optional).
